Miko Oracle weaves a full Shinto-tarot reading from 22 deities and their guardian power stones.
The standing of each sacred card, the story of each deity, and the reason behind each guardian stone — in detail.
Miko Oracle is an oracle deck that weaves the 22 deities of the Kojiki and the Nihon Shoki into the standing of sacred cards. It matches the 22 cards of the tarot's Major Arcana in number, with the Japanese gods each holding their own place.
The one-card daily draw is the most basic way of reading — for understanding what one deity has come to tell you today. Take the message of the card not literally, but as it applies to your own situation this day.
A day on which Amaterasu appears is a day to turn your own brightness outward. A day of Tsukuyomi is a day to listen to yourself within the quiet. A day of Susanoo is a day to turn a raging feeling toward creation. To lay the story of the god over the story of yourself — that is how Shinto tarot is read.
Each card carries a guardian power stone. Hold the guardian stone of the deity drawn today as an amulet in mind. There is no need to own the physical stone — simply keeping its colour and meaning as the theme of the day lets the card's message settle more deeply into the body.
Drawing again is fine, as many times as wished, but take the first deity that appeared as the principal oracle of the day. On a day when the urge to draw again and again returns, that very hesitation is itself showing the state of the day.
The sacred cards of Miko Oracle and the physical guardian power stones will be carried at each official store.
Power stones and ritual pieces are available now at the official boutique.
